Ok on May 10, 2009 Sensei Whiteside reached his 10th black belt test.
The students name was Tom Theodore.
He was not your usual spring chicken black belt either. I forgot what age he was but definately not a youngin LOL.
You have to seriously take your hat off and bow to a man like that not only did he stick it out and make it to black belt,
but he did so in a time in his life when many people are sitting back in their rockers waiting to die. It was so inspiring to see someone so up in their years and yet still so full of life. I think he should be named "The Old Tiger" that would fit him well.
Not only did he make it well through the whole test but the end when you have to do your focus kicks they were well placed.
Shodan Gilbert did not loose a face or a testicle in the whole challenge. YOU GO TOM!
I have been very busy doing college and web hosting/heating and cooling work and I live fifty miles from the school now so I dont get to go often enough anymore and honstely nevery met Tom much till that day. I will be uploading the pics from the black belt test as soon as I can.
